Blue Elephant Birthday

This week I had the opportunity to create a Blue elephant cake and cupcakes for a 3-year-old's birthday!

He was excited to see ALL the elephants! Click on the image for a closer look!
The vanilla cake was created with a ladybug cake pan and altered by adding vanilla cookies for the ears, legs, and nose.
The cupcakes were covered with butter-cream and then adorned with marshmallow fondant elephants.
You too can turn any event into a celebration with a custom cake specifically designed for you! Contact me for details!

"Baby Block" Welcome

Cute, yet sophisticated this cake was the first building block in welcoming a new baby into the world!

A vanilla cake was filled with chocolate mousse, covered in a very light butter cream and finished with fondant decor. Even the cuddly giraffe was made of fondant.

Every detail of this baby block was customized for the mother-to-be. You too can specify exactly what you want to "WOW" your guests..... just contact me for your request at cakeitupanotch@gmail.com.

Luau Birthday Cake

I made this cake for our friend Julie's birthday!! We were invited to a luau surprise birthday party for her. Of course I had to bring the cake....It took me about 25 seconds to put this together (that's all the time I had!! :) ) So, don't judge. You get the idea.

Two round cakes frosted in white. Golden oreos crushed for the sand, blue sprinkles for the water. Flower leis for the edging!! Plastic palm tree and drink umbrellas courtesy of PartyLand!! Go me.

Birthday Bingo

The birthday girl shouted "Bingo" when she found out she could eat this diabetic chocolate cake with white chocolate cream cheese frosting without having her sugars soar through the roof!!

I was pleasantly surprised at how good this cake tasted after only using Spenda and Spenda blends to create this decadent chocolate and white chocolate combination.

Madagascar theme cake

Marty the Lion from the Madagascar movies was center stage at this 3-year-old's birthday party.

This chocolate cake was filled with chocolate mousse and covered in chocolate and vanilla butter-cream!

The Zebra stripes added just the right contrast to this Madagascar themed event.

Modern Unique Birthday Cake

Unique Birthday Cake

We like to keep a sweet in the house, for when the sugar attack hits. The carrot cake was gone, so I decided to whip up a quick dessert. I had a box mix for German Chocolate cake, and a frosting mix that was pecan and coconut..I had some left over dried, sweetened cranberries, and some walnuts left- so I threw them in the batter! It came out tasty...usually all people throw in a cake is some chocolate chips, so this was kind of different- in a good way!
Wife goes on normal schedule starting next week, so food postings should start being a little more regular, and hopefully interesting!
