One of the things I love the most about living in Raleigh is being able to be so close to my family. Other than the fact that I love to spend time with them, there are some obvious perks. My parents will take the kids at a moments notice if I get a last minute order...If I'm having a busy day and don't feel like cooking, my dad will make my family dinner for me...On cookie shipment Mondays, my sister Judy watches Abby and Jack for me. In fact, Monday is Abby's favorite day of the week because Aunt Judy usually lets Abby do and eat anything she wants.
But tonight, my sister, Katie was the most helpful of all. As I looked ahead at a loooong night of decorating cakes all by myself, she offered to 'help'. And by 'help' I mean she spent 4 hours creating this gem:
And even though this little guy didn't end up on top of the cake like Katie had hoped, I felt he deserved to have a moment in the spotlight. Thank you, Katie for making my night of 'work' so much fun!
